Ashley Graham experienced an emotional moment when a flight delay cut into her precious time with her children. The 35-year-old mother of three, who has sons Isaac, three, and twins Malachi and Roman, got caught in a travel nightmare when her flight from Los Angeles to New York City was cancelled. Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, Ashley revealed that the journey home took much longer than expected, with repeated delays and the eventual cancellation of her flight.
While the rest of her family remained calm during the ordeal, Ashley couldn’t hold back her tears. She explained that she only had one day to spend with her kids, and as a mother, every minute of that time mattered to her. Once she finally made it home, Ashley decided to cancel her plans to attend the US Open and instead prioritize quality time with her husband and children. She acknowledged that making small sacrifices was part of being a parent.
Ashley expressed her desire to savor every moment, especially since her children are growing up and certain aspects of parenthood are fleeting. She talked about wanting to hold her kids like babies and rock them, but realizing that they are growing and becoming more independent. She admitted that she used to roll her eyes when people warned her to cherish these moments because they don’t last forever, but now she understands the truth in those words. Though she finds it sad, Ashley is grateful for each new stage of her children’s lives, as it brings new experiences and different kinds of fun.
