Hank Williams Jr. recently got married to his girlfriend Brandi. The country star, who is 74 years old and the son of music legend Hank Williams, tied the knot with his 43-year-old partner in a small ceremony in Alabama.
The wedding took place a few months after the couple got engaged on Mother’s Day in May of this year. The joyful news was confirmed through a statement that was posted on Hank Williams Jr.’s Facebook page.
In the statement, it was announced that the wedding took place on September 9, 2023, at Enon Baptist Church in Banks, Alabama. The ceremony was attended by a small group of family and friends.
The statement also mentioned that Hank Williams Jr. and Brandi have been friends for over 20 years. They got engaged earlier this year on Mother’s Day and have known each other since 2003.
The engagement was confirmed on September 4, just a few days before the wedding. This marriage is the second for Hank Williams Jr., as he was previously married to Mary Jane Thomas for 32 years.
Unfortunately, he experienced heartbreak when Mary Jane passed away in March 2022. She was 58 years old and is believed to have died due to complications from elective surgery.
The couple had two children together, a son named Sam, who is now 26 years old, and a daughter named Katherine. Tragically, Katherine died in a car crash in June 2020 when she was 27 years old.
Hank Williams Jr. expressed his sorrow in a statement at the time, remembering his wife as a loving and kind person. He also mentioned how her memory lives on through their children and grandchildren.
