Shah Rukh Khan’s film, Jawan, is continuing to perform well at the Indian box office, even on weekdays. Coming off of a strong extended weekend, it was important for the film to maintain its hold during the working days, and it is doing just that. After earning over 30 crores on Monday, day 6 is also looking promising, and here’s how much it earned through advance booking.
The film, directed by Atlee, has achieved a triple century in just 5 days, setting a record for a Bollywood film. The previous record was held by Shah Rukh Khan’s own film, Pathaan, which entered the 300 crore club in 6 days. The superstar is now breaking his own records and creating new ones.
Based on pre-sales, Jawan earned 7.10 crores through advance booking before the first show started yesterday. Today, on day 6, it has already sold tickets worth 6.25 crores (in all languages). This is an impressive number, with a ticket count of over 2.60 lakh in India. It is highly likely that the film will earn 25 crores or more today.
After the first 5 days, the Hindi version of Jawan has earned between 279.08-281.08 crores. Therefore, it is confirmed that the film will enter the 300 crore club today. Yesterday, the India vs Pakistan match had some impact on the night shows, but today, that is not the case. In fact, there may even be an increase in night occupancy compared to yesterday.
