Lea Michele has suffered an injury to her arm and shared the news on her Instagram Story. The former ‘Glee’ actress posted a mirror selfie of her arm in a sling but did not provide details about how the injury occurred or how long she will be wearing the sling.
She captioned the photo by saying, “My rendition of ‘waving through the window’ will be coming out soon.”
This injury comes shortly after Lea’s attendance at the US Open and just a week after wrapping up her role as Fanny Brice in ‘Funny Girl’ on Broadway. Reflecting on her time in the show, Lea expressed that it was a dream come true for her.
Replacing Beanie Feldstein in the role last year, Lea received an incredible seven standing ovations for her performances at the August Wilson Theatre. During the final show, she even treated fans to an extra song, a rendition of ‘My Man’.
Prior to her last performance, Lea had called the role of Fanny Brice “the role of a lifetime”. She expressed her deep love and connection to the character and how it has inspired her throughout her life.
Expressing her gratitude, Lea thanked the cast, crew, and audience members for their support during her time in the show. She mentioned how their applause and standing ovations brought her to tears on multiple occasions.
