Lena Headey is currently recovering from a foot injury that will require a six-week recovery period. The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress, known for her role as Cersei Lannister on the popular HBO series, expressed her frustration at only being able to wear one of her beloved Birkenstocks during this time. She shared a picture of her foot in a cast on Instagram, captioning it with the words “F***. 6 weeks. One Birk only.”
In October, Lena married Marc Menchaca in a romantic ceremony held in Italy. The 49-year-old actress and the ‘Ozark’ star tied the knot in Puglia on October 6, in the presence of their friends and family. Among the guests were Lena’s former co-star Sophie Turner and her husband Joe Jonas, as well as singer Rick Astley who was spotted posing for pictures with other attendees.
Other ‘Game of Thrones’ stars who attended the ceremony were Peter Dinklage, who portrayed Tyrion Lannister, and Conleth Hill, who played Varys.
Lena and Marc had been in a relationship for about two years before deciding to get married. They made their romance public in 2020.
Prior to her relationship with Marc, Lena was married to musician Peter Paul Loughran. The couple got married in 2007 and had a son named Wylie before divorcing in 2013. She later dated director Dan Cadan and they welcomed a daughter named Teddy in 2015 before splitting up in 2018. Lena found love again with Marc two years later.
It is believed that Lena and Marc are currently residing in Los Angeles. According to a source, Lena has no plans to return to the UK as she is content being in the US with her partner. The source stated, “Lena now sees herself living in the States for the foreseeable future. It’s where the parts are for her and she’s got a blossoming relationship with Marc so she sees no point in her living in the UK.”
