Leonardo DiCaprio is a highly popular actor in the entertainment industry, with a huge fan base. He has always lived his life in the public eye since he started his career early on. While he has acknowledged his parents’ efforts in exposing him to various art forms, Leo also had a mischievous side. And when his father made him join LA Mudpeople, he played a prank on a woman and scared her.
If you are unfamiliar, LA Mudpeople is a group where members cover their bodies in mud and walk on the streets. They make sure to conceal their private parts with rags and wear masks on their faces. Leonardo DiCaprio’s father was reportedly a dedicated member of this group and he got his son involved as well. In a 2000 interview with Rolling Stone, the Titanic star shared an experience from his childhood involving this group. But before that, he mentioned the parade that the group organized.
The Revenant star said, “Have you heard of the Do-Da Parade? It’s a group of guys called the Mud Men, and they are performance artists.” He continued, “We would attend performances where there were things like giant flaming c*cks shooting at the audience and walking private parts. They were not afraid to show me anything.” Leonardo DiCaprio also mentioned how he became a part of the group, completely covered in mud, without any fear of pulling pranks.
The Wolf of Wall Street star added, “I joined the Mud Men with my dad. These guys would cover their bodies in mud, put rags over their genitals, and create mud masks to run around in.” He then recounted a moment when he scared a woman by hiding behind a hot dog stall. Laughing, he said, “I remember being a kid, covered in mud, and I started walking around on my own. I hid behind a hot dog stand.” “A woman approached to get a hot dog, and I suddenly appeared as this aboriginal mud creature. She freaked out. My dad had to come to my rescue. I loved doing things like that. It was amazing.”
It’s clear that Leo was a mischievous kid, and there’s no doubt about that. For more stories, stay tuned to Celebtrends.
