Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne has provided a health update for fans following the cancellation of multiple performances earlier this year. In the first episode of the relaunched ‘The Osbournes Podcast’, the legendary musician confirmed that he will be undergoing a fourth surgery. This surgery is necessary to address the structural damage he sustained from a fall in 2019, according to People magazine.
Ozzy Osbourne, 74, stated, “I’m going for an epidural soon because what they’ve discovered is the neck has been fixed,” adding that the pain he is experiencing is coming from his back. He explained, “Below the neck, there are two vertebrae where the bike hit me and disintegrated, there’s nothing left of ’em.” Despite his discomfort, he remains hopeful and determined.
When asked if he sought a second opinion, Ozzy Osbourne’s wife Sharon Osbourne revealed that his doctor is in the process of obtaining additional opinions after the first surgery did not go as planned. Ozzy described the extent of his condition, saying, “In my back, the two discs and the muscles on my shoulders have separated from my skeleton, and that’s why I lean forward as it’s like gravity is bringing my head forward. I’ve walked like that all my life.”
According to People, Ozzy Osbourne had to cancel his performance at the Power Trip Festival in July. He posted on Instagram, explaining that his body is not yet ready for a return to the stage and that he refuses to give a half-hearted performance. He assured fans that a replacement band, consisting of personal friends of his, will be announced soon.
In his Instagram post, the ‘Crazy Train’ singer expressed his gratitude towards his fans, band, and crew for their unwavering support. He concluded by saying, “I love you all and I will see you soon.”
Ozzy Osbourne previously underwent surgery in 2019 after aggravating damage to his neck and back from an ATV accident that occurred 16 years ago. Stay tuned to Celebtrends for further updates on his health.
