Russell Brand is currently facing allegations of r*pe, s*xual assaults, and emotional abuse from four women. One of these women, known as Alice to protect her identity, has accused Brand of subjecting her to an emotionally abusive and controlling relationship when she was a teenage schoolgirl. In an interview with The Times and Channel 4, Alice detailed how Brand referred to her as “The Child” and was fixated on her purity and innocence.
In response to these accusations, Channel 4 aired a special investigation into the claims, and Russell Brand posted a video on X and YouTube vehemently denying the allegations.
Alice, who was of the age of consent in the UK at the time, stated that Brand took her v*rginity and was constantly preoccupied with her innocence and purity. She also claimed that he helped her lie to her parents about their relationship. Alice revealed that Brand would send a car to her school to pick her up and take her to his home, even going as far as asking her to save his name as “Carly” in her phone to deceive her parents.
Furthermore, Alice alleges that Brand once forced her to perform a s*xual act that caused her to choke. She resisted and only managed to make him stop when she hit him in the stomach.
Alice met Russell Brand in 2006 when he was gaining fame as a television host and radio presenter. She was 16 at the time, recovering from an eating disorder, and had never had a boyfriend. Their first encounter took place in London, and she claims that Brand asked her to confirm her age immediately, stating that he didn’t care whether she was 12 or not, but needed to know the legal facts.
Alice also described their intimate moments, stating that Brand would call her “his baby” and cradle her in his arms, treating her like a child. She recalled a specific incident during s*x where he raised his arm in a dominant manner, as if conquering something. Alice further revealed that Brand encouraged her to read Vladimir Nabokov’s Lolita and coached her on what to say to her parents when he wanted to see her.
The Times reported that, in late-2020, Alice reached out to Brand’s literary agent, Angharad Wood, hoping for a change in his behavior and an apology. However, she only received a response from a lawyer representing Brand, who aggressively denied her allegations and implied that she was seeking money.
Russell Brand maintains his denial of all allegations made by Alice and the other three women, stating that he feels under attack. The investigation into these claims continues.
