Noel Gallagher has expressed his desire to follow in Adele’s footsteps by having a Las Vegas residency. He mentioned that he loved the idea of not having to travel between gigs like Elvis used to do during his famous Las Vegas runs. Gallagher stated on comedian Matt Morgan’s Patreon podcast that he might consider doing Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in Vegas later in life, as it would allow him to live in the hotel where he performs, just like Elvis did.
Gallagher also mentioned that he will be taking a two-month break to relax and “scratch his b****.” During this break, he plans to see U2 perform in Las Vegas and then have two days of rehearsals with his band in Amsterdam, where he intends to smoke marijuana. He explained that the rehearsals are necessary to get back into the swing of things before the next tour, which will include performances in Holland, Italy, France, and another yet-to-be-disclosed location.
Speaking about his upcoming holiday plans, Gallagher shared that he has some studio work to do and will also be taking his kids on a trip. He expressed his excitement about seeing U2 perform their residency in Vegas, specifically their album ‘Achtung Baby,’ which he considers to be their best album. Adele is believed to have been paid a record-breaking amount of $1.2 million per night for her Vegas shows, and other notable artists like Sir Tom Jones and Rod Stewart have also had successful Las Vegas stints. U2 is set to perform their ‘Achtung Baby’ shows in the new high-tech MSG Sphere arena in Vegas.
