Disgraced influencer Andrew Tate is offering his support to Russell Brand amidst the controversy surrounding his sex scandal. Tate, who is currently facing charges of rape and human trafficking (which he denies), spoke out after Brand was accused by four women in a recent investigation into rape, sexual assaults, and abuse.
Brand had posted a nearly three-minute video monologue on his X and YouTube channels, expressing feeling “attacked” by the media. It was in response to this video that Tate showed his support, sharing a cartoon meme on his X account depicting a knight preparing for battle. He added a caption saying, “On my way to fight the crazy b**** allegations.” Tate then welcomed Brand to “the club.”
On X, Tate further voiced his conspiracy theory beliefs, stating that the allegations against Brand were part of a “Matrix attack.” Brand also received support from tech titan Elon Musk, owner of X, who agreed with Brand’s comments about the media attempting to control platforms like X and YouTube. Musk commented, “Of course. They don’t like competition.”
Both Brand and Musk have faced accusations of being conspiracy theorists in the past. Brand has been criticized for sharing Covid conspiracy theories during the pandemic, including questioning the profits of pharmaceutical companies from vaccines. In 2014, he sparked outrage for suggesting he was open-minded about the US government’s involvement in the 9/11 attacks.
